Safer Recruitment training for Safeguarding Children Officers, Safe Church Representatives, CCPAS Lead Recruiters and CCPAS Additional Recruiters
Safeguarding training appropriate to your role is essential and the Diocese of Sheffield follows the Church of England’s ‘Safeguarding Learning and Development Framework’.
This course is led by our Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor or Trainer and should be repeated at least every three years to act as a reminder and to update you with regard to changes in legislation and guidelines.
This is required training for those holding a license, commission, authorisation, permission to officiate from a Bishop - Ordained and Lay.
There are no academic or educational requirements.
Safeguarding training is currently offered free of charge.
Safeguarding training may well be included as part of other training courses or processes so please check. Places on training courses are limited so booking your place is essential – please obtain an application form by contacting Sue Lamprell:
