Aurora course starts its fourth year

20 students across our youth and children’s training courses started their journeys of learning and sharing this week.  The Aurora courses are now in their fourth year and serve volunteers and part-time workers in developing their skills and understanding of effective mission and ministry with our young people and children.  Heidi Adcock, the Diocesan Secretary gave the students an inspirational message, encouraging each one to value the journey ahead and bring themselves to the training and shared learning each session.

Ian White, who moderates the courses from Cliff College challenged students to see Aurora as a starting block to further learning with the College, encouraging students to invest as much time and effort as they can to their learning this year.

Students had time to get to know each other and to understand the expectations of the course.  Those who complete the course with the written assignments will be awarded the Cliff College Certificate in Children’s or Youth Ministry, and those in Anglican settings can explore becoming Authorised Ministers at the end of the course.
