Resource Centre Amnesty!
8th February 2017
The resource centre and lending library at Church House, which provides over 9,000 resources free of charge to members of the Sheffield Diocese, is now part of the learning community for mission and ministry offered by St Peter's College.
As part of a review of its services, and to ensure its ongoing support of the diocese and members of St Peter's College, the centre is offering a book amnesty to you, its readers. Now is the chance to bring back any resources you may have hidden on a shelf and forgotten about or have had had on your ‘list of things to do’ and just never got round to bringing back.
The St Peter’s College Resource Centre will have a stand at the Bishop’s forthcoming annual lecture on 28th February where you will be able to drop off any overdue resources, no questions asked - and no fines!!. The amnesty will also run for the week following the annual lecture when books and resources can be dropped off at Church House.
This is an opportunity for members of the Diocese to support the centre in its goal of providing a comprehensive foundation of resources that is available to as many members as possible. Looking to the future, and to continue its growth, the centre is investigating several grant and funding opportunities alongside the amnesty to replenish and revive the resources available.
The centre has recently appointed a new administrator; Stephanie Osman, who will be overseeing some new and exciting developments in the coming months that will make the centre more accessible to readers and continue to establish strong links with St Peter’s College as a learning and training resource. Stephanie joined Church House in January 2017 and brings with her plenty of experience in administration and digital marketing. From 2004-2006, she studied for a degree in Product Design at Nottingham Trent University, on completing this, then went on to work for the Halifax. In 2008, Stephanie started at FDS Director Services in Wakefield, where she became the Marketing Director in 2012. Stephanie lives in Sheffield with her husband and daughter. She enjoys running and sowing in her spare time.
Stephanie joined Church House in January and brings with her a wealth of experience of marketing and administrative systems.
