VACANCY - Assistant Principal of St Peter’s College and Director of Ongoing Ministerial Development
20th October 2016
The successful applicant will bring a commitment to see the lives of individual lay and ordained ministers enriched and their ministry becoming increasingly effective. They will model this commitment in their own ministry, bringing their particular gifts, theological learning and a desire to work collaboratively whenever possible.
We are looking to appoint a candidate who will bring gifts of leadership, discernment and insight to this ever-changing landscape of clergy deployment and all forms of ministry, and be creative in the models and approaches that are used.
The Assistant Principal of St Peter’s College and Director of Ongoing Ministerial Development will be a key part of the Diocesan Training Team, which is led by the Principal of St Peter’s College and Director of Formation for Ministry. It is expected that the Assistant Principal will be present at the monthly School of Ministry and contribute to the training according to their gifts and the requirements.
Given the nature and context of the work it is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder should be a communicant member of the Church of England in order to fulfil the main purpose of the post across the Diocese. This post is therefore exempt under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
Canon Dr Christine Gore, the Principal of St Peter’s College and Director of Formation for Ministry, is available for an informal conversation on 01709 309 100.
Closing date for receiving applications: 12 noon on Friday 4 November
Interviews will take place on: Thursday 24 November
